Tra’Li invites you to a stand united with Shane Synan

As many of you will already be aware, our popular bartender, friend and colleague Shane Synan is fighting a courageous battle with cancer. The positivity and fortitude with which he is meeting this challenge is both humbling and inspirational.

We are holding this special event in his honor and to provide financial support to Shane and Kim while he fights his way back to health.

 

The pub will shut for normal business on the evening of Saturday 16th September to host the "Shane United Dinner". The evening fundraiser will consist of a 3 Course meal, prize draw and silent auction with all of proceeds going to Shane & family.

The event will be by prepaid tickets only. A celebration of courage mixed with some light-hearted moments and surprises.

Tickets will be $50.00 per person and on sale from Thursday 20th of July.

Shane has been a welcoming presence behind the bar at Tra’Li since we first opened our doors in 2008. He is truly a cornerstone of everything that it has become. We hope that all of you who at some stage have benefitted from the humor, warmth and wit of Shane will make an effort to attend and to make this a spectacular success.

 

Pre fixe Menu for the night presented by Chef Eamonn Kelly:

Begin with Choice of Soup or Salad

 

Choose an Entrée from:

Scottish Salmon, seasoned with fresh herbs, grilled and served on a bed of creamy leaks.

Molly’s Chicken, stuffed with cream cheese and bacon, baked with a crispy panko finish and served with rosemary gravy.

Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding, Joyce Farms Beef in caramelized onions with Yorkshire Pudding au jus.

Garden Macaroni (V), Medley of season al vegetables sautéed in Kerrygold garlic butter. Tossed in Ashe County Mac & Cheese.

 

Dessert, NC State Ice Cream or Bailey’s Cheesecake

 

First Prize in our draw will be a fabulous ride on Crazy Cooler donated by Craig Reilly. Be the envy of your neighborhood!

Drink Specials

Enjoy daily drink specials at both locations. Whether you prefer NC beers on Mondays for $3 each, half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays,  our drinks specials are sure to tempt you at least one day of the week if not more.

Tra'Li has great relationships with many of the local breweries, including Lone Rider, Raleigh Brewing Company, Gizmo Brewing Company, Bombshell Brewery, and more. Each of our locations has a rotating list of local brews on tap, so check out each to see if your favorites are being served this week.

Our chef, Eamonn Kelly, was born onto a dairy farm in County Galway, Ireland. Chef Eamonn was introduced to the culinary world the old fashioned way, by watching his Mother. She never used a recipe or needed any measuring cups. She just knew from experience.

Eamonn attended culinary school in Galway. With his experience at school as well as practical experience in Boston and New York City, Eamonn has been able to locate and build on many wonderful different cultures and ethnic foods to add to his own collection of traditional dishes and recipes. He is very outgoing and friendly, so if you see him be sure to introduce yourself and have a chat.

We offer something for everyone at any time of day - lunch, dinner, kid-friendly, seasonal, weekend brunch, and our special carvery lunch.

The seasonal menu offers variety and imaginative taste of North Carolina sourced ingredients. Our lunch and dinner menus offers traditional Irish fare, including Shepards Pie and a variety of Boxty, as well as a variety of pub fare like burgers and wings. If lighter eating is what you have in mind, we have a variety of soups and salads. And don't forget to finish your meal with one of our tempting, handmade desserts.
